About the artist - Renee Torbit comes from a horse racing background. Ms. Torbit was a thoroughbred jockey for eight years. Before that, Torbit received a degree in Fine Arts from William Woods University and has shown art in several galleries and been accepted in art shows for the American Academy of Equine Art. She is now a photographer for Coady Photography and works on numerous painting commissions throughout the year.
